Beatrice Markopoulos is a painter born in US based in Athens. She has lived in a variety of countries such as UK, Egypt, Greece, Belgium, and Australia. The continual uprooting and re-settling, with a combination of influences from Minimalism, Abstraction and Surrealism, has formulated Beatrice’s practice of overlaying memories with symbols in micro narratives.
