Teresa De Cata
Teresa De Cata is an Italian oil painter based in Berlin and an artist in the Burnt Sienna mentoring community. She studied illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples before developing her painting practice in Berlin.
Her figurative paintings explore the female gaze, the tension between seeing and being seen, and the ways vulnerability can become a form of agency. Working in oil on canvas, she places women at the centre of their own narratives and considers how a painted figure can resist the expectations projected onto it.
