Venus Paez

Exhibited artist · Mother Force One

Venus Paez (Angela Venus Paez Cano) is a Venezuelan artist born in Caracas. Painting and drawing became a source of refuge and a way of processing displacement after she left Venezuela in 2018.

Her paintings act as emotional vessels, giving inner narratives form through colour. Her intuitive practice explores motherhood, the divine feminine, death and rebirth, captivity and freedom, and the relationship between light and darkness. She embraces imperfection, instability and transformation as essential elements of making.
