Biography

Yvonne Mesterhazy, also known as Ymes, creates abstract paintings that explore the relationship between movement and stillness, complexity and order. Inspired by light, water and growth, she works with acrylic glazes and contrasts of colour. Her series Between Flow & Stillness considers transformation and rhythm. Her work has been presented in group exhibitions in Brussels, and she has studied art and gallery management at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
